ATMORE - Edna Earle Phillippi, 86, of Atmore died Wednesday, July 22, 2009 in Atmore.
She was a teacher’s aide for the Escambia County School System, born in Grand Bay on Nov. 2, 1922 to the late Homer Reynolds ad Maggie Farrior Shirley.
Her parents, her husband, Lloyd Edward Phillippi Sr. and a sister, Cornelia Tatum Ryland preceded her in death.
Survivors include a son, Lloyd Edward “Eddie” Phillippi Jr. and wife, Ruby of Atmore; one niece, June Tatum Mack of Monroeville; two nephews, Spencer M. Tatum of Lafayette, La. and Jay Phillippi of Crestview, Fla. and other extended family.
Services were held at 11 a.m. on Monday, June 27, 2009 from Johnson-Quimby Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Thurl Pearson officiating. Interment followed at 2 p.m. in Barrances National Cemetery in Pensacola, Fla. Family received friends from 10 a.m. until service time on Monday, July 27, 2009 at Johnson-Quimby Funeral Home.
Johnson-Quimby Funeral Home, INC. was in charge of all arrangements.
