FLOMATON - Mr. Bernard Dixon Sr., 57, of Flomaton transitioned into eternal rest on Saturday, Sept. 6, 2009 at his home.
Mr. Dixon was a self employed real estate investor. He was a longtime member of the Fannie Baptist Church in Flomaton.
His loving wife, Mrs. Annie P. Dixon; his parents, Clifton and Inez Dixon and a sister, Lillie McCory, preceded him in death.
Those left to cherish his beautiful memories are three sons, Sidney (Katrina) Dixon, Bernard Dixon Jr. and Calvin Williams of Flomaton; four sisters, Eleanor (Mike) McGill, Callie (Clay) Newsome of Flomaton, Minnie Golston and Inez Blair of Evergreen; three brothers, Elbert (Barbara) Dixon of Century, Fla., Roosevelt (Barbara) Dixon and Jimmy (Precilla) Dixon, both of Flomaton; six grandchildren and a host of nieces, nephews and close friends.
Funeral services were held at 11 a.m. Saturday, Sept. 12, 2009 at Fanny Baptist Church in Flomaton with the Rev. Hiriam Stanton officiating. His final resting place was in Fanny Cemetery in Flomaton.
Turner Funeral Chapel was in charge of arrangements.
