Parents across the state will be headed to school next week for the annual statewide involvement month programs. The Alabama Department of Education has themed the month-long observance “Families and Schools — Perfect Partners.” A special visitation day has been designated for Oct. 19.
Escambia County Schools Parental Involvement Supervisor Magaline Marshall said the annual event is a great way to bring parents and school faculty and staff together.
Marshall said encouraging parents to be involved their child’s education is one way educators can help students succeed.
Marshall said each school within the Escambia County School system would have programs or activities planned to involve parents throughout the month with special focus on activities Oct. 19.
