With the 2009 season already behind them, the Escambia County Blue Devils are looking forward to what lies ahead with the 2010 football season.
Finishing 3-7, 2-5 is not what Blue Devils Head Coach Kyle Davis had in mind for his team, but he is proud of the way they played through a grueling Class 5A schedule.
Davis said no one ever wants to lose more than they win, but its tough when the numbers are against you.
Even with the win-loss record not to his liking, there are things that Davis is able to find positive about the Blue Devils season.
Davis said he was happy with the effort that his players gave in every game they played.
Next season, the Blue Devils will be filled with seniors looking to make it to the postseason like they did their freshman year.
Davis said things will be much better with the competition level more even in Class 4A.
The Blue Devils are already working towards next season with thier offseason workouts getting started this week.
