Jodeci Craft led the Escambia County Lady Blue Devils to their second straight victory Tuesday night as ECHS beat the visiting Hillcrest-Evergreen Lady Jaguars 44-32 at Escambia County High School.
Craft led the team in points and rebounds posting eight of each to go with five steals, four assists and one block.
The Lady Blue Devils (2-1, 0-0) were able to pick up the second win in a much more convincing factor than their previous win against Monroe County, according to head coach John Saxon
Canausha Crenshaw assisted Craft’s efforts in the win by scoring seven points, pulling down six rebounds, swiping four steals, blocking two shots and dishing out two assists.
Maree Peavy scored five points in the win, while recording four rebounds, four steals, three assists and two blocks.
Jasmine Tolbert and Tiffany Madison scored three points apiece for Atmore’s Lady Devils. Tolbert also recorded two rebounds, steals, assists and one block. Madison led the team with eight steals, passed out five assists, grabbed four boards and blocked a shot.
With the win, the Lady Blue Devils are starting to get in season form as they prepare for a tough slate of county and area rivals.
The Lady Blue Devils next game is Dec. 1 at Hillcrest-Evergreen with a tipoff at 6 p.m.

It took three overtimes to decide the better team Monday night at Escambia County High School as the Lady Blue Devils outlasted the Monroe County Lady Tigers 52-48.
The Lady Blue Devils (1-1, 0-0) managed to fight back in the fourth quarter of their home opener to give first-year head coach John Saxon his first win as the man in charge of the squad.
Saxon said it felt good to pick up the win after being defeated by the Flomaton Lady Hurricanes last Friday in Flomaton.
The Lady Blue Devils started the game strong, but fell behind late in the first half.
Lady Devils guard Tiffany Madison led the way for ECHS as she recorded a double-double with 26 points and 11 rebounds. She also had eight steals and seven assists.
It took a strong defensive stand during the second half to push the game to overtime.
Helping push the game into overtime was Canausha Crenshaw who scored 10 points, while recording 12 rebounds, four assists, three steals and two blocks.
The teams battled back-and-forth in the first overtime with neither gaining an advantage.
The shot of the night though came from guard Jasmine Ireland as she hit a free throw that tied the game sending it to the third and final overtime.
Ireland finished the game with thre points, one rebound and one steal.
In the final overtime, the Lady Blue Devils managed to outscore the Lady Tigers 7-3 to pick up the huge victory.
