Due to flooding from Monday's heavy rainfall, officials with area school boards made the decision early this morning to cancel classes.
All Escambia County, Ala. schools are closed including, Rachel Patterson, A.C. Moore and Huxford elementary schools; Escambia County Middle School and Escambia County High School.
Escambia Academy in Canoe is also closed due to road flooding.
In addition, Brewton City Schools are closed.
As for schools in Escambia County, Fla., such as Bratt Elementary, Ernest Ward Middle School and Northview High School, classes are in session.
