Lady Devils end tourney with loss

The Escambia County Lady Blue Devils ended the Escambia County Tournament on a three-game losing streak that saw them lose 38-33 in their finale to the W.S. Neal Lady Eagles Monday afternoon in Flomaton.
The Lady Blue Devils were led by guard Canausha Crenshaw’s 12 points.
In the first quarter, the Lady Blue Devils and Lady Eagles battled back-and-forth to an 8-8 tie.
In the second quarter, the Lady Eagles pulled ahead outscoring the Lady Blue Devils 8-4 to give the Lady Eagles a 16-12 lead at halftime.
After halftime, the Lady Eagles continued to lead the game as they scored 10 points in third quarter and only allowed Escambia County to add eight to their total.
In the fourth quarter, the Lady Blue Devils fought back cutting the Lady Eagles’ lead to three at one point, but the Lady Eagles pulled away at the end to pull out the 38-33 victory.
