Frost Bites had only been open a little more than a month when the rains came into downtown Atmore earlier this month.
Frost Bites is located in downtown Atmore at 903 W. Nashville St. They offer ice cream, floats and other sweet treats.
Waller said she waded into water that was standing two feet deep, and she and her co-owner, Jim Fulford, could not keep up with the amount of water coming in. In addition to the rain, there was also a problem with a drainage ditch near the building.
The building is owned by First National Bank and Trust.
Since opening Frost Bites has seen early success.
