Mrs. Helen Louise Flirt, age 66, a native of Bratt, Fla., and a resident of Elberta, for 33 years, passed away Wednesday, Jan. 6, 2010.
She was a world wide traveler. She was a very kind person who loved and cared for her family.
Her daughter, Debbie Hayles, preceded her in death.
Helen is survived by, and greatly missed by, her husband of 33 years, Robert Flirt, Sr. of Elberta, AL; four daughters, Nancy Metts of Elberta, Marty Flirt (Joe) of Robertsdale, Robbie (Bo) McGhee of Uriah, and Rene (Roger) Peebles of McCullough; three sons, Troy (Maria) Flirt of Warner Robins, Ga., Robert (Jackie) Flirt, Jr. of Panama City, Fla., and Ashley Flirt of Elberta; 13 grandchildren and six great-grandchildren; a great-aunt, Doris Miller of Fairhope; her loving pets, and especially her dog Thugba; nieces, nephews and other relatives and friends, including Jimmy and Rita Muldoon, and brother-in-law and sister-in-law, Gordon L. and Donna Flirt.
The family will receive friends Saturday, January 9, 2010, from 6 p.m. until 8 p.m. at Wolfe-Bayview Funeral Home, Foley.
Services will be held Sunday, Jan. 10, 2010, at 2 p.m., from the Chapel of Wolfe-Bayview Funeral Home.
Interment will follow at Swift Presbyterian Cemetery.
