Now that the college football bowl season is over, it’s now time to turn our attention to the NFL playoffs as well as All-Star games featuring college players from around the country.
The biggest of the college All-Star games is the Under Armour Senior Bowl, which takes place right down the road in Mobile.
This year’s Senior Bowl lincludes several marquee players including Colin Peek, Terrence Cody, Leigh Tiffin, Javier Arenas and Mike Johnson from the University of Alabama; Ben Tate and Antonio Coleman from Auburn; Tim Tebow from Florida and Taylor Mays from Southern California.
It’s sure to be a great game and has already sold out due to the high-profile names that will be taking the field.
Adam and I will be at the game in the pressbox and on the sideline as well as at events during the week leading up to the game.
I’m really excited about this opportunity because I have never been to a Senior Bowl before. It will be exciting to see the college players and NFL coaching staffs up close and personal.
Our other staff will also be present at the game with friends and family in tow to witness the fun event.
The staff at The Advance also want eight lucky people to enjoy the game free of charge by winning one of four pairs of tickets that we have for the game.
If you will look and see page 11A of today’s edition of The Advance, you will see an ad with seven college football trivia questions to be filled out and returned to our office.
The questions are for varioius topics including Alabama, Auburn and even a local legend mentioned in the paper today.
Be sure to use all your resources to answer the questions. All the answers are out there and I would know because I looked up the questions for this great giveaway.
Those that answer all seven questions correctly will be entered for a drawing that will leave four people with two tickets apiece for the Senior Bowl.
Just make sure you double check your answers, so that you have a chance to be entered for this great opportunity.
The game is Saturday, Jan. 30 at 4 p.m., so if you win be sure to clear your calendar to make sure you won’t miss the game.
Good luck!
