Recycling in the new year may be a resolution for some, but officials with Recycle Now are asking for help.
Lee said recyclers have been dropping off cardboard boxes to be recycled, but with the limited space, some considerations need to be made.
Lee said there is no recycling available currently for the Styrofoam being left in boxes at the recycling center.
Collectors of the materials to be recycled don’t keep a regular schedule, Lee said.
Lee said breaking down boxes to be recycled will help minimize the space needed for materials between pickups by collectors.
Recycle Now has a drop-off collection point at The Farmers Market adjacent to the Atmore City Hall complex on Louisville Avenue.
