ATMORE – Ruby Lee Lambert, 94, of Atmore died Wednesday, Jan. 27, 2010 at her daughter’s residence.
She was a homemaker, born in Atmore, on Oct. 15, 1915 to the late George and Ollie Payne Woods.
Three brothers and two sisters, preceded her in death.
Survivors include three sons, Edward Lambert (Opal), of Irvington, Sherrel Lambert (Mabel), of Atmore and Norman Lambert, of Perdido; one daughter, Frances Biggs (Buddy), of Atmore; six sisters, Estelle Parker of Atmore, Mary Willis of Alexandria, Va., Ann Dunn of Ohio, Louise Jerningan of Molino, Fla., Freddie Pezent of Jackson and Hazel Mason of Evergreen; nine grandchildren, 15 great grandchildren and 11 great-great grandchildren; numerous nieces and nephews and special friends Nadine Gibson and Patsy Mitchelle.
A special thanks to all of the nurses and caregivers at Community Hospice and Amedisys.
Services will be held Sunday, Jan. 31, 2010 at Johnson-Quimby Funeral Home Chapel with Bro. Marty Gehman officiating. Internment will follow in Mothershed Cemetery.
Family will receive friends, Sunday, Jan. 31, 2010 at Johnson-Quimby Funeral Home, Inc. in charge of all arrangements.
