The American Legion Post 90 opened its doors to residents of Atmore Tuesday night to celebrate its 85th anniversary during the Chamber of Commerce’s Business After Hours.
The American Legion Post 90 opened its doors on Feb. 25, 1925 when 25 members chartered the organization, which was six years after the American Legion began in the United States.
American Legion Post 90 Commander Aubrey Stanley said he wanted to open the doors of the American Legion to give Atmore residents a first-hand look at the organization.
