ATMORE - Edith Young Myers Murphy, 82, of Atmore passed away on Sunday, March, 7, 2010.
Her husbands, Claud Myers and J.Z. Murphy; one son, Frelon Myers and a daughter, Ruby Jean Myers Booker preceded her in death.
She is survived by a daughter, Deborah (John) Myers Bange of Perdido; two sons, Otis V. (Shirley) Myers of LaVernia, Texas and Dewayne Myers of Stapleton; one sister, Pearl Young Gladwell of Evergreen; seven grandchildren, Paul Booker of Montgomery, Brenda B (Amos) Turner of McKenzie, Adam Myers of Live Oak, Texas, Michelle Myers of Texas, Heather McClary of Bay Minette, John Wesley Bange and Ashley Bange of Perdido and two great grandchildren, Madison and Taylor Turner.
Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. today, March 10, 2010 from Elizabeth Primitive Baptist Church in McKenzie with Elders Wesley Littles and Rex Tolbert officiating. Burial will follow in the Church cemetery. The body will lie instate at the Church one hour prior to service. Visitation was held at Eastside Funeral Home in Atmore on Tuesday, from 6 p.m. until 8 p.m. Leak-Memory Chapel Funeral Home of Montgomery will be directing.
