Elementary school students were introduced to several different environments last week during the 15th annual Food for America Program hosted by the Northview High School Chapter of the FFA.
Students from Jay Elementary School, Pensacola Beach Elementary School and Pollard-McCall Elementary School made the trip to Bratt, Fla. last Friday to learn about all the types of agriculture.
Not only did the students get an up close look animals that included cows, horses, sheep, ducks, chickens and goats, but they also were able to learn about corn and other grains.
They were also able to get an hands-on look at how tractors work, what equipment the Florida Division of Forestry uses as well as hear about go-kart racing from area racer Jarrett Parker.
