Sanspree crowned Miss Bambino

A new Miss Bambino was crowned Thursday afternoon carrying on one of Atmore’s most storied traditions involving the Atmore Cal Ripken Baseball League.
Twelve-year-old Jessica Sanspree was announced the winner at the pageant, and was crowned by 2009 Miss Bambino Kendall Cobb.
After being crowned, Sanspree said she was surprised to win because there were several worthy choices.
“I’m excited to win,” Sanspree said. “I was surprised when they said my name because I didn’t think I would win. All of the girls were really good and anyone of them could have won.”
