“We have had two big crowds so far this season, and I want everyone come out and support us again,” Gibson said. “This is a big game for us, and support from our fans would be great.”

Tonight, the Escambia County Blue Devils will seek their second region win as they take on the Class 4A No. 4-ranked UMS-Wright Bulldogs.

Blue Devils head coach Mark Heaton said having support is one of the underlying reasons for his team’s success.

“These kids are playing really hard and playing well,” Heaton said. “I think one of the major contributing factors to that is the support they have seen in Atmore, and I think it will be very vital to have that support in Mobile.”

The Blue Devils and Bulldogs kick off at 7 p.m. in Mobile.

Finally, the Northview Chiefs open district play with a visit to the South Walton Seahawks tonight. The Chiefs and Seahawks kick off at 7 p.m.
