ATMORE – Peggy Joyce Jefferies, 66, of Atmore died Wednesday, Sept. 29, 2010 in Pensacola, Fla.

Mrs. Jefferies was a homemaker, born in Atmore on Jan. 21, 1944 to John Raymond and Gladys Drew Criswell. She was a member of Unity Baptist Church.

Her father, John Raymond Criswell, preceded her in death.

Survivors include her husband, Joseph L. Jefferies, of Atmore; mother, Gladys Solomon, of Bay Minette; two daughters, Tammy Presley and husband, Chuck, of Flomaton and Sandra Salter and husband, John, of Newnan, Ga.; two brothers, Ronnie Criswell, of Bay Minette and Donnie Criswell, of Picayune, Miss.; one sister, Pat Lamb, of Bay Minette; five grandchildren, Blake, Madison and Ashtyn Presley and Bryan and Jessica Salter.

Services will be held at 1 p.m. on Friday, Oct. 1, 2010 from Johnson-Quimby Funeral Home Chapel with Bro. Floyd Harris officiating. Interment will follow in Oak Hill Cemetery.

Family will receive friends from 11 a.m. until service time on Friday, Oct. 1, 2010 at Johnson-Quimby Funeral Home.

In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Unity Baptist Church, located at 10310 Hwy. 31, Atmore, AL 36502.
