Two people were injured in a crash just after 9 a.m. on U.S. 31 in the Canoe community. Officials with the Alabama State Troopers say Carl Leslie Cooper, 50, of Century, Fla., was the driver of a 2007 Nissan Titan pickup truck involved in the crash. Tracey Ann Deramus, 37, of Milton, Fla., the driver of a 1993 Cadillac, was also injured in the crash. State Troopers say an investigation into the cause of the accident is underway, however no charges are expected to be filed in the case. Details on the extent of injuries to the victims in the accident were not made available to press by State Troopers Tuesday.
