MOBILE – Mrs. Blanchie B. Mallard, 82, of Mobile transitioned into eternal rest on Thursday, Dec. 16, 2010 at Providence Hospital in Mobile.

She was a native of Greenville and had been a resident of Mobile for many years. She was a graduate of Lomax Hannah Training School in Butler County and graduated as an accountant from Alabama A&M University. She was a retired accountant with the Civil Service.

Those left to mourn is her husband, Ike C. Mallard of Mobile and one sister, Floree Maye of Deltona, Fla.

Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Thursday, Dec. 23, 2010 at the Jones Street Holiness Church with Bishop Willie L. Williams, pastor, officiating. Retirement of her remains will be in the Fairview Cemetery with Turner Funeral Chapel, LLC of Atmore directing.
