A disturbance at Holman Correctional Facility in Atmore today ended with only minor injuries to a few inmates, according to Alabama Department of Corrections spokesperson Brian Corbett.

Corbett said that an “inmate disturbance” was reported this morning around 7:30 a.m. where inmates had taken control of A-dorm at the maximum-security prison.

The ADOC’s Correctional Emergency Response Team (CERT) was called to the scene equipped in full riot gear and took control of the situation, according to Corbett.
