In the first round of their conference tournament, the Atmore Christian School Lady Rams crushed the Alethia Christian Academy Lady Lions 14-1 in Milton, Fla. last Friday.

The Lady Rams dominated the game from the start despite only recording three hits in the win.

In the first inning, ACS used their first at-bat to jump out to 3-0 lead thanks in part to walks and errors by Alethia and they held the Lady Lions scoreless in their turn at the plate.

That three-run inning was followed up by another three Lady Rams runs in the third inning to push their lead to six runs after holding Alethia scoreless again.

The Lady Lions finally got on the board in the top of the fourth inning with a runner scoring on an error.

Leading 6-1 heading into the fourth inning, the Lady Rams finally recorded hits with Taylor West, Charity Hall and Dallas Brown each ripping a single. With that offense giving their team a boost ACS added eight more runs to the scoreboard to pull ahead  and win 14-1.

Defensively, the Lady Rams were led by Kendra Beachy on the mound who pitched all four innings and struck out seven batters.

With the win, the Lady Rams advanced to the next round against Central Christian School, but had to forfeit the game on Saturday due to a lack of players.
