DAPHNE – Edna M. Barrentine, 88, of Daphne, formerly of Atmore, died Friday, May 20, 2011 in Daphne.

She was co-owner of the Twin Beverage Co., born in Fort Deposit on April 11, 1923 to the late Nealy Jefferson and Nettie Sanders Martin.

Her husband, James Clifford Barrentine; one daughter, Lorna Priscilla Barrentine and a sister, Gladys M. Middleton, preceded her in death.

Survivors include a daughter, Kimberly B. Woodham and husband, Danny, of Spanish Fort; two grandchildren, Allison Woodham, of Mobile and Chloe Woodham of Spanish Fort and a brother-in-law, Haskew Middleton, of Atmore.

Services will be held at 3 p.m. on Tuesday, May 24, 2011 from Johnson-Quimby Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Jim Thorpe officiating. Interment will follow in Oak Hill Cemetery.

Honorary pallbearers will be women of The First Presbyterian Church, Community Hospice, aides and private sitters.

Family will receive friends from 1:30 p.m. until funeral time on Tuesday, May 24, 2011 at Johnson-Quimby Funeral Home.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Community Hospice of Baldwin County, 2770 South McKenzie, Foley, AL 36535 or Mayo Clinic for Alzheimer’s Research Department of Development, 200 1st Street SW, Rochester, MN 55905.
