Summer fun begins soon and with the beginning of summer vacation, the Tom Byrne Park pool will be opening on Tuesday, May 31.

Public swimming at the pool will take place Monday through Saturday from 2 p.m. until 5 p.m., while night swimming will be held on Tuesday and Thursday nights from 7 p.m. until 9 p.m.

Admission for public swimming is $1 for ages 16 and under and $1.50 for ages 17 and older.

Registration for the first session of swimming lessons will begin on Tuesday, May 31 and will continue until the classes are filled The registration time will be from 5 p.m. until 6 p.m.

The first session of day swimming lessons will begin June 6 and run until June 24 with the classes being held Monday through Friday from 9 a.m. until noon Night classes will be on Tuesday and Thursday nights from June 7 through June with classes taking place at 5:15 p.m., 5:45 p.m. and 6:15 p.m.

The cost is $35 per student.
