HAMPTON, Va. – Mr. Floyd Edward Barron, 61, of Hampton, Va., formerly of Atmore, died Monday, June 20, 2011 in Hampton.

Mr. Barron was a native of Atmore and had been a resident of Hampton since 2009. He served in the U.S. Army and had attended Escambia Training School.

Those left to cherish his memories are two sons, Jeston Brown of Atmore and Julian Barron of Maryland; his father, Raymond Barron Sr. of Nokomis; six sisters, Minnie Street, Doris English, Belinda Martin and Barbara Forney, all of Atmore, Alice Barron of Freeport, N.Y. and Mary M. Barron of Hempstead, N.Y. and one brother, Walter L. Barron of Westbury, N.Y.

Funeral services will be held at 1 p.m. today, June 25, 2011 at the Mt. Shiloh Baptist Church in Nokomis with Apostle Lois Banks, Pastor of El Bethel Holiness Church eulogist and the Rev. Dennis Stephens, host Pastor. Inhumation will be held in Mt. Shiloh Cemetery with Turner Funeral Chapel, LLC directing.
