FAIRHOPE – Elise Scott Crook, 92, of Fairhope formally of Atmore died Aug. 19, 2011 in Daphne.

She was a retired School Teacher, born in Cedar Hill on Jan. 27, 1919 to the late George and Elizabeth Lee Morrissette Scott. She was the president of the American Red Cross chapter, past president of the United Methodist Women’s, member of the DAR Society, Atmore citizens of the Year, and was active member of Alabama Women’s Dental Auxiliary.

Her husband, Dr. Samuel F. Crook and a son, Samuel F. Crook Jr. preceded her in death.

Survivors include two sons, Charles Crook and wife Cindy of Culpeper, Va. and Fred Crook and wife Karen of Fairhope; two brothers, Charlie Scott and wife, Leah and Gorin Scott and wife Joyce, all of Uriah; one sister, Blanche Binford of San Antonio, Texas; five grandchildren, Alison C. Hulsey, Elizabeth C. Dickinson, C.J. Crook, Carrie Crook and Rachel Crook.

Services were held at 11 a.m. Monday, Aug. 22, 2011 from Johnson-Quimby Funeral Home with the Rev. Jim Reece, the Rev. Tim Trent and the Rev. Diane Everette officiating. Family received friends from 5 p.m. until 7 p.m. Sunday Aug. 21, 2011 at Johnson-Quimby Funeral Home.

Johnson Quimby Funeral Home, Inc. was in charge of arrangements.
