RABUN – Thomas Henry Brown age 72 passed away at his home in Rabun, Alabama  Wednesday, Aug. 31, 2011.

Tom was preceded in death by his parents Thomas Walter and Mae Opal Brown and daughter Jennifer Brown.

Tom served 11 years with the Alabama National Guard.

He retired from Monsanto in 1992 as an instrument technician than worked for Regal-Brownin Daphne for several years.

Tom was a faithful Sunday School Teacher, Choir member and Deacon at Southside Baptist Church in Bay Minette. He loved the Lord with all his heart and shared that love with all those he came in contact with.

Survivors include his wife of 52 years Eloise Whidbee Brown, daughter Joanne Logan of Spanish Fort;  sons, Thomas Benjamin Brown and wife, Deana of Atmore, Timothy Whidbee Brown and wife, Amanda of Raceland, La. Seven grandchildren, Hayley Ryan Logan, Savannah Marie Brown, Dallas Whitney Brown, Thomas Austin Brown, Kyle Henry Brown, Gabrielle Louise Brown and Tomie Cyrus Brown. One Sister, Susie Coker and husband, Jimmy Coker of Atmore.

Services will be Friday Sept. 2, 2011 at 3 p.m. from the Presley Street Baptist church in Atmore with Dr. Larry Patterson, Rev. Carl Thompson and Rev. Mike Grindle officiating.

Interment will follow in Oak Hill Cemetery, Atmore.

Family will receive friends Thursday evening at Johnson-Quimby Funeral Home from 6 p.m. until 8 p.m.

Mr. Brown will lie in state at the church Friday Sept. 2, 2011 one hour prior to service time.

Flowers will be accepted, but donations maybe made to a charity of your choice.
