An Atmore home is expected to be ruled a complete loss after a blaze that sparked just before 7 p.m. Monday.

Atmore and Poarch fire departments responded to the scene of the blaze at 207 Martin Luther King Ave., where the fire was extinguished in less than 30 minutes, Atmore Fire Chief Gerry McGhee said.

Joan Hackman, director of the Atmore chapter of the American Red Cross, said the victims of Monday’s fire, Scottie and Sonnia Lambert and their four children, ages 17, 15, 11 and 8, have been moved into temporary lodging for three days in a local hotel while their insurance company assesses the damages.
