Marie Kathryn Bryant, 85, a native of Atmore and resident of Mobile, died Saturday, Sept. 10. She was a devoted mother, grandmother, sister and retired businesswoman. She was a charter member of Crawford Baptist Church in Mobile.

She is survived by her sons Glen Wilson (Sandra) Bryant of Semmes and Randy Farrell (Lauri) Bryant of Mobile; grandchildren Glen Wilson (Tasha) Bryant, Jr. of Semmes, Annie Elizabeth Bryant of Semmes, Bonnie Kay Bryant of Mobile, Amanda Marie (Brandon) Simpson of Stapleton; great grandchildren, Allison Marie Bryant of Semmes, Emma Tate Bryant of Semmes, Beckett Emory Simpson of Stapleton; sisters Eunice Lenora Reynolds of Mobile, Patsy Ann Richardson of Atmore, Alice Joyce (Ed) Brown of Atmore.

She was preceded in death by her son, Jloyd Cyril Bryant; parents, Wilson Leroy Sasser and Annie Lenora Luker Sasser; brothers, Edward Leroy Sasser, Max Farrell Sasser; sisters, Evelyn Emma Dillree, Carolyn Ulynn Hetzel.

Funeral services will be held Tuesday, Sept. 13, 2011 at 10 a.m. from the chapel of Mobile Memorial Gardens Funeral Home with the Dr. Jay Robertson and the Rev. Mark Brown officiating. Visitation will be held on Tuesday, Sept. 13 at 9 a.m. until service time at the funeral home. Buriel will follow in Mobile Memorial Gardens.

Pallbearers will be her nephews, Bill Clayton, Earl Miller, Ken Miller, Melvin Hetzel, Gary Hetzel, Matthew Hetzel.
