Area football action back Friday

Atmore’s three area football teams will be back on the field Friday night taking on high-profile competition.

The Escambia County Blue Devils and Northview Chiefs will host their opponents, while the Cougars of Canoe will go on the road.

The Blue Devils (3-2, 2-1) will host No. 1 Thomasville at Herbert Barnes Stadium and also bring back the 1974 state championship team for a halftime ceremony.

Northview (2-1, 0-0) will host the Gulf Breeze Dolphins in their first home game of the season.

Escambia Academy (3-3, 1-2) will head to Toxey, Ala. to face the South Choctaw Academy Rebels in a region match up.

All kick offs are set for 7 p.m.
