Northview will attempt to get back on track with a win when they travel to Jay, Fla. to take on their rivals the Jay Royals in the hopes of spoiling the Royals’ current one-game winning streak.
The Chiefs (2-2, 0-0) were derailed in their first home game of the season falling 49-14 to the Gulf Breeze Dolphins.
The Royals are feeling good after securing their second win of the season by defeating the South Walton Seahawks 33-27 on homecoming.
This will be the first district game for each team with the winner getting a head start on the race for the postseason.
The Royals will be looking for revenge against the Chiefs who have won the last two match ups including last year’s 34-0 shut out of the Royals.
A win gives the Chiefs some momentum as they head into an open week before their big match up against the Freeport Bulldogs on Oct. 21 in Bratt, Fla.
The Chiefs and Royals kick off at 7 p.m. on Friday night at Jay High School in Jay, Fla.
