Lady Cougars earn Senior Night win 54-33

With Escambia Academy Lady Cougar Tori Searcy being honored on Senior Night, the Lady Cougars earned a 54-33 victory over the Clarke Prep Lady Gators last Friday in Canoe.

The Lady Cougars never left any doubt on the scoreboard holding the lead from the tipoff to the final buzzer.

In the first quarter, Escambia Academy pounded the Lady Gators on both ends of the court by building a 16-2 lead.

The Lady Cougars ran with the lead to halftime, as they outscored Clarke Prep again in the second quarter 15-14 to move into the break leading 31-16.

Following halftime, EA again went on an impressive run before allowing their bench finish the contest in the fourth quarter.

With a 15-point lead, the Lady Cougars made their lead insurmountable with a 20-6 run in the third quarter that gave them a 51-22 lead.

The Lady Cougars moved their bench into the game for the final eight minutes, but despite being outscored 11-3, EA held on to win by 21.

Leading the Lady Cougar in the victory   was sophomore Grayson Emmons with 20  points.

Lady Cougar Megan Duncan led EA in rebounds with eight and also chipped in nine points.

Rounding out the scoring for the Lady Cougars was Lacie Flowers with eight points and Peyton Snider added seven.
