“You might be a redneck,” could be a popular catchphrase heard at Wind Creek Casino & Hotel when their first performer of the 2012 season takes the stage.
Comedian Jeff Foxworthy has been booked to perform at the gaming facility located just off I-65 at Exit 57, with his performance scheduled for March 24.
The anticipation for Foxworthy’s performance is already building around the casino, PCI gaming public relations coordinator Lynn Woodcock said.
“We are excited about him coming, and I think everyone will be excited to have a chance to see him,” she said. “He will be performing at our amphitheatre, and will be the first act of the season”
Foxworthy has been a well-known performer since the early 90s and with more than 13 millions albums sold is regarded as the highest selling comedian of all time.
The comedian also hosted the Foxworthy Countdown from 1999 until 2009. In the countdown, Foxworthy counted down the Top 30 country hits each week.
He is also known for his work with comedians Ron White, Larry the Cable Guy and Bill Engvall on the Blue Collar Comedy Tour, which made two films about the tour.
With a big act on the way to open the season at Wind Creek, those around the casino are eyeing who else might take the stage this year, Woodcock said.
“It’s totally exciting to be getting the performance season underway,” she said. “Everyone is looking forward to see who all we are bringing to Wind Creek.”
