Mr. Walter Spencer Brooks, 58, of Atmore, transitioned into eternal sleep on Thursday, Feb. 16, 2012 at Atmore Community Hospital.

Mr. Brooks was a native of Atmore, a homemaker and a graduate of Escambia County High School in 1974.

He was preceded in death by his parents Spencer and Hazel Brooks.

Those left to  cherish his memories are: Three sisters, Physel Johnson, Los Angeles, CA, Risa Brooks, of Atmore, and Tameka Benjamin, of Tensaw; five brothers, Lester Brooks, of Augusta, GA, Jerry Brooks, of Atmore, Kenneth and Steve Brooks, both of Montgomery and Vincent Brooks, of Miami, FL.

Funeral Services were held Friday, Feb. 24, 2012 at 1 p.m. at the Empowerment Tabernacle Christian Center with Rev. Darryl North, pastor, officiating. Inhumation was in Stallworth Cemetery with Turner Funeral Chapel, LLC directing.
