Claude W. Moye

MOBILE – Claude W. Moye, 77, died Sunday, Feb. 26, 2012, at a Mobile hospital.  He was preceded in death by his parents, Ollie and Ruby Moye and by one sister, Earline Moye Helton.  He retired from Monsanto after 35 years of service, and he was also a retired farmer.

He was a member of  Robinsonville Baptist Church.

Moye is survived by: two sons, Mike and wife Barbara Moye of Robinsonville and Duff and wife Crystal Moye of Booneville; three daughters, Sherrin and husband Dan Thomas of Brewton, Susanne and husband Scott Daniel of Mobile and Mishalene and husband Charles Coker of Ft. Walton, FL; one granddaughter and seven grandsons; two great-grandchildren; and three sisters, Gertrude Smith and Willonette Troutman, both of Atmore, and Gladys Stanton of Robinsonville.

The family received friends Monday, Feb. 27, 2012, at Petty-Eastside Chapel Funeral Home.  Funeral services were held Tuesday, Feb. 28, 2012, at 10 a.m. at Petty-Eastside Chapel Funeral Home with the Rev. Mike McMorris and the Rev. Jerry Keese officiating. Nicole Moye Kelly, granddaughter of Mr. Moye, played “Amazing Grace” during the funeral services. Interment followed at the Robinsonville Cemetery.

The following grandsons served as pallbearers: Chad Moye, Canyon Moye, Dex Daniel, Zack Coker, Jordan Coker, Alex Coker and honorary pallbearer Blake Daniel.
