BAY MINETTE – Mareese Danette Jones, 52, of Atmore died Thursday, April 5, 2012, at the North Baldwin Infirmary. Danette was born in Montgomery, but she was a long time resident of Atmore. She graduated from Escambia County High School in 1977.

She was a homemaker. She is preceded in death by her mother, father and sister.

She is survived by: one son, Zaphine Jones of Atmore; one sister, Brett Schneider Farrell Stapels of Atmore; one grandchild.

Funeral services will be held Saturday, April 14, 2012, at 1 p.m. at the Empowerment Tabernacle Christian Center with Pastor Daryal North officiating. Inhumation will be in the Fairview Cemetery. Public viewing was held Friday, April 13, 2012, from 2 until 8:30 p.m. at the funeral home. Her body will lie instate at the church one hour prior to the unreal service, with Turner Chapel, LLC. directing.
