Relay for Life Friday

Survivors kick off the 2011 Atmore Relay for Life at Tom Byrne Park with the Survivor’s Lap. This year’s festivities begin at 6 p.m. on Friday at Tom Byrne Park.
Atmore’s cancer fighting spirit will be in full movement Friday when the annual Atmore Relay for Life kicks off at Tom Byrne Park.
The event will begin at 6 p.m. with opening ceremonies followed by the opening laps starting with the Survivor Lap.
Throughout the event there will be different events to raise spirit bucks for each team including the Lap of Champions, the Redneck Lap and So You Think You Can Dance.
The event will conclude with awards to be given out at 11:30 p.m. and will end at midnight.
Set up for Relay for Life begins at 8 a.m. Friday with teams allowed to come and set up as needed throughout the day.
