MLK action sees wins for Flames, Braves

Dangelo Parker held the First National Bank Mets to two runs on two hits while his Utility Department Blue Flames scored 12 runs in a 12-2 win.
The Mets led the Blue Flames 2-0 after the first inning, but the Blue Flames responded with five runs in the second inning and seven in the third to get the win by 10.
Parker went three innings to get the win on the mound and surrendered two hits, two runs, none earned, walked one and struck out five.
At the plate for the Blue Flames, Roddarius Dailey was 1-for-1 while Jaquan Morgan and Carlos Richards were 1-for-3. Richardson’s hit was a triple.
Tykee Stots was 1-for-2 with two RBIs and Parker was 1-for-2.
For the Mets, Tiquell Taylor and Calvin Nichols pitched with Taylor being the pitcher of record.
The duo allowed five hits, 12 runs, walked six and struck out five.
At the plate for the Mets, Jaylon Weaver was 1-for-2 and Dee Lewis was 1-for-1.
Braves 8, Mets 1
Facing off against the Mets, the United Bank Braves picked up an 8-1 win to improve their record this season.
The Mets were held to one run in the bottom of the fourth while the Braves scored one in the first, two in the second, one in the third and four in the fourth.
At the plate for the Braves, Roddarius Dailey had a triple and two RBIs in the win while Jordan Patterson had two triples and two RBIs.
Allen Patterson added a single and Erica McMillan had a triple and one RBI.
On the mound, Patterson went four innings and allowed three hits, one run, none earned, walked three and struck out seven.
For the Mets, Nichols, Jaylan Brown and Lewis all had hits.
Jaylon Weaver and Nichols pitched in the loss with Weaver being the pitcher of record.
The duo allowed five hits, eight runs, five earned, walked 10 and struck out four in the loss.
Games were scheduled to resume again Thursday, June 7, with the Braves and Mets playing at 6 p.m.
Today, the Blue Flames and Braves are scheduled to play at 5 p.m.
Tuesday, the Mets and Braves are scheduled to play at 6 p.m.
MLK league games will continue until Thursday, June 28.
