The second of three ‘Market in the Park’ events is scheduled for this Saturday at the park in front of First National Bank and Trust.

The event will be held from 7:30 until 11 a.m. and will feature a variety of fresh fruits and vegetables, baked goods freshly cut flowers, syrups, jams and jellies, all grown or made no more than thirty miles outside of Atmore.

The event is sponsored by the Atmore Area Chamber of Commerce and director Sheryl Vickery said the second installment in this year’s markets will feature some new products, including okra and fresh eggs.

Demonstrations from local farmers and plenty of activities to occupy the children will also be a part of the event.

The last installment of ‘Market in the Park’ will take place Saturday, Aug. 11.
