The new PCI entertainment complex will house movie theatres, a bowling alley, coffee and yogurt shops and an arcade. The new facility is scheduled to open to the public this summer.

The construction of an entertainment center near Wind Creek Casino and Hotel is on schedule to be completed by the middle of summer, said the president and CEO of Creek Indian Enterprises.

Tim Martin said the complex, which will include eight cinemas, a 3,500 square foot arcade, a 16-lane bowling alley and a restaurant, is scheduled for completion by the July 4th weekend.

“Construction is well underway,” Martin said. “We hope this week to be pouring some of the final concrete for the floors. We’re on schedule.”

Martin said the entertainment complex helps further the Poarch Band of Creek Indians Tribal Council’s commitment to the local area by helping to improve the quality of life.

“We were tried of seeing people go outside of the county to be entertained,” he said. “It will be a nice compliment to our gaming operation.”

The movie theatre includes digital quality and two selected auditoriums that can be used as meeting areas or concert halls.

The 13,024 square-foot bowling alley will feature a more “high-level” bowling experience, Martin said.

“It’s not your typical family (bowling) center where you see a lot of plastic and average build-out,” he said referring to the projected use of the facilities. “It will have above average build-out. It will be an entertainment experience, not just a bowling experience.”

The center will also include a frozen yogurt and coffee shop.

“We’re attempting to put into place anything you would go to Mobile or Pensacola to get, as far as entertainment,” Martin said.
