Kenneth and Kaye Robinson Jr. of Atmore announce the engagement and forthcoming marriage of their daughter, Maegan KenLeigh Robinson of Atmore to Derek Lee Smith of Columbia, Miss., son of Ricky Smith of Vancleave, Miss. and Lisa Smith Walker of Columbia, Miss.

The bride-elect is the granddaughter of the late Kenneth and Editha Robinson and the late Elzie Lee and Luverne Harrison of Atmore.  She is a graduate of Escambia County High School and Jefferson Davis Community College with an associate’s degree in business administration. She is currently employed at Citizens Bank of Columbia, Miss. as a customer service representative. She is a member of Atmore First Assembly of God church in  Atmore.

The prospective groom is the grandson of the late Arvin and Maxine Smith of Carson, Miss and Nina Butts and the late Herman B. Butts of Carson, Miss. He is a graduate of East Marion High School and attended Pearl River Community College. He is currently employed at InterAct Public Safety of North Carolina as a customer care manager. He is also the safety and public relations officer for Tri-Community Volunteer Fire Department and is a member of North Columbia Baptist Church of Columbia.

The couple will exchange wedding vows at 2 p.m. on Saturday, June 15, 2013, at Atmore First Assembly Of God church in Atmore. A reception will follow at The Club reception hall. Friends and Family are invited.

Following a honeymoon in Disney World, the couple will reside in Columbia, Miss.
