The Poarch Band of Creek Indians have once again opened their pocketbook to local organizations, giving more than $300,000 to five groups last week.

During the presentation, PCI Treasurer Robert McGhee said the tribe takes joy in being able to give back monetarily to the surrounding communities.

During this round of donations, the tribe gave funds to New Beginnings Ministries in Brewton, several organization in Mobile and a company as far away as Dozier, Alabama.

With the tribe currently operating elsewhere in the state and routinely donating funds, it is becoming clear that the tribe is not just good for and to Atmore, but to the state of Alabama in general.

It seems that as long as Poarch continues to prosper, they will continue their generosity.
