Poarch wins rubber match with Braves

In the rubber match of their 12U season series, the Alabama Wing House Braves lost 15-7 to Poarch Creek.

The win gives Poarch five wins and four loses on the season against the Braves.

Sam Smith scored the only run for the Braves in the first inning. He reached on a leadoff walk. Jacob Harrison singled in the inning.
Poarch was held scoreless in the first and the Braves led 1-0 after one.

Poarch tied the game at one in the second with a run by Chase Bell. Poarch took the lead in the third with runs by Colby Burkett and Noach Martin.

The fourth saw Smith and Harrison score for the Braves, while Matthew Harris, Bell, Jared Gibbs and Burkett all scored for Poarch Creek.

Matthew Ray opened up the scoring with a run in the fifth for the Braves, but the team was shut down after that.

Jason Tabb, Kameron Bowen and Bell scored runs in the fifth to add to Poarch Creek’s lead.

Harrison and Jabryce Hooks scored in the sixth to give the Braves their seven run total. Poarch Creek scored five times in the sixth with Tabb, Harris, Bell, Burkett and Martin all plating.
