For those fans who can’t make it to Auburn for the showdown between the No. 1 Crimson Tide and No. 4 Tigers, but still want a unique game day experience, the entertainment center cinema at Wind Creek Casino and Hotel might be the place to be for this year’s Iron Bowl.
The cinema will be showing the game on the big screen in two separate theaters – one for Alabama fans and one for Auburn faithful, said director Mark Vaughan.
“For years I’ve wanted to show a big game on the screens,” he said. “This was a way to get the community involved.”
The showings are open to folks 21 and up because alcohol will be served during the game, Vaughan said. Beer will be $4 and mixed drinks will sell for $7. Other concessions will be available as well.
“No minors are allowed at all,” Vaughan said.
The game is showing at 2:30 p.m. on CBS. Vaughan asked that fans be there 30 minutes before kickoff. There’s no charge because it’s a public game, he said.
“We’re hoping for a big turnout,” Vaughan said. “The (Overtime) sports bar was crazy for the Alabama-LSU game.”
