Funeral for Louise Nall Powell, 78, of Trinity, were held at 11 a.m. Monday, Jan. 13, 2014, at Roselawn Funeral Chapel, with Elder Craig Blair officiating. Burial followed in Burningtree Memorial Gardens. Visitation was held from 6 p.m. until 8 p.m. Sunday, Jan. 12, at Roselawn Funeral Home.

Mrs. Powell died Friday, Jan. 10, at her residence. She was born on Dec. 9, 1935, in Florida to Myrtice Wise Nall and Willie T. Nall.
Those who preceded her in death include her parents; brothers, Enoch Nall, Marlin Nall and Olen Nall; sister, Emmanette Hughes; and grandson, Jerome Powell.

Survivors include her husband of 61 years, Elder James E. (Jim) Powell of Trinity; son, James E. (Jimmy) Powell Jr. (Belinda) of Philadelphia, Pa.; daughters, Wanda Woodall Birge (Jim), Becky Howard (Randy) and Marsha Woodbury (Chuck), all of Decatur; brothers, Adrian Nall of Evergreen and Shelby K. Nall of Pensacola, Fla.; sisters, Wilda Knox of Gaithersburg, Md., Aurora Crook of Atmore, Myra Barton of Mobile; grandchildren, Jeron Powell, Andrea Mitchell Whisenant, Emily Woodall, Frank Woodall, Lacey Harshbarger, Lynnsey Harshbarger; and 10 grandchildren.

Pallbearers were Jeron Powell, Frank Woodall, Jim Birge, Randy Howard, Derek Blagburn and Chuck Woodbury and the honorary pallbearer was Ashton Blake Whisenant.
