Rosie Cumbie Lassiter, 79, of Cantonment, Fla., passed away Tuesday, April 1, 2014 at her residence.

She was a homemaker, born in Little River on Dec. 28, 1934, to the late Gulie and Lillyie Jeter Cumbie.

Her husband, Bobby J. Lassiter, preceded her in death.
Survivors are two sons, Darrell (Mary) Lassiter of Gulf Breeze, Fla., and Jerald (Nora) Lassiter of Cantonment, Fla.; four daughters, Patricia (Mark) Lockridge of Pensacola, Fla., Shelia (Frank) Champion of Uriah, Sandra (Alan) Milstead of McDavid, Fla., and Cindy (Mike) Quint of Cantonment, Fla.; 18 grandchildren and 14 great-grandchildren.

Services will be at 10 a.m. Friday April 4, from Johnson-Quimby Funeral Home Chapel, with the Rev. Mike Grindle officiating. Interment will follow in McCullough Cemetery.

The family will receive friends from 5:30 p.m. until 8 p.m. Thursday evening, April 3, at Johnson-Quimby Funeral Home.
