An Andalusia man was killed in a two-vehicle accident Wednesday afternoon in northern Escambia County.

According to Sgt. Steve Jarrett of the Alabama Department of Public Safety, 42-year-old Richard Walker was killed when his 2006 Toyota Tacoma was struck by a 2009 BMW 335, at approximately 1:10 p.m. Walker’s vehicle left the roadway and overturned near the 63.1 mile marker, about 15 miles northwest of Atmore.

Walker was not wearing a seat belt at the time of the crash, and the other driver was not injured.

No additional information was available, as the Alabama State Troopers continue to investigate the crash.
