The Escambia Academy Lady Cougars defeated the visitors from Monroe Academy on Monday night, while the Cougars fell by one point.

The EA boys led by seven points at halftime in Monday’s game in Canoe, but eventually lost by the score of 43-42. Garrett Kirk led the Cougars with 22 points, including 19 in the first half.

In the girls game, the Lady Cougars won by the score of 53-26.

Alia Show led EA with 19 points, and Makayla Spruill added 18.

EA had a 19-11 lead after the first quarter and never trailed the rest of the way.
