City offering free electronics recycling March 7

The city of Atmore is offering an electronics recycling drive on Saturday, March 7, from 8 a.m. until 4 p.m.
The drive will be at the Atmore Recycling Center, across from city hall, located at 201 E. Louisville Ave.
Many electronic items will be recycled for free on this day. Those items include batteries, DVD/VCR players, some monitors, small appliances, cell phones, fax machines, printers, stereos, computers, keyboards, radios, surge protectors, copiers, laptops, satellite receivers, video game systems, cords, cables, microwaves and scanners.
There will be a charge for some other items. Basic televisions (up to 65 pounds) will be $30 each; an average 32-inch TV weighs 63 pounds. For TVs over 65 pounds, there will be an additional charge of 25 cents per pound. CRT monitors and iMac computers will be $10 each.
