Alabama State Fire Marshals have concluded that the fire set at Flamingo Terrace on Jan. 3, was intentionally started.

State Fire Marshal Public Information Officer Steve Holmes said the cause of the fire was intentional.

“Because there have been no arrests at this point, we are still continuing the investigation,” Holmes said.

Holmes said the fire moved from suspicious to incendiary after a complete and thorough investigation was conducted by the state fire marshal’s office and the Atmore Fire Department.
